Performed numerical experiments (SolidWorks and ANSYS) and then built and tested coupon to successfully confirm analytical results. Goal to reduce the total number of reference standards required for use by the Air Force for calibration of NDI equipment.
• Mechanical/manufacturing design for the first manufactured prototype of an electro-optic device (ophthalmic instrument) to measure the topology of the sclera for fitting scleral lenses. Worked the product from initial idea to device production.
