I have 17 years of progressive automotive experience and training in management, mechanical, and electrical systems. I excel in streamlining existing processes and developing new tools to increase service efficiency and quality. In addition to my technical qualifications I have also developed curriculum for De Anza College in Cupertino, CA for their EV program for the automotive AA Degree. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and currently a student in an accelerated EE program at ASU (Arizona State University) maintaining a 3.95 GPA along with working full time. Responsible for all areas of mechanical, electrical assemblies and manufacturing processes. Since this is a startup company my responsibilities vary from day to day. Some of my responsibilities are as follows:
• Assemble, train and supervise technicians to build high performance Electric Induction Motors, and Drive Control Units (Propulsion Computers)
• Aid Sr. Engineers in troubleshooting, testing, setup and debugging EV systems
• Write Work Instructions for all assembly processes in manufacturing
• Set up and conduct off site UL and ISO validation testing
• Design manufacturing work flow process and Work Cell stations
• Fabricate prototype mechanical and electrical components such as tools, harnesses, test fixtures
• Report to V.P. of Engineering for engineering change requests to improve product reliability
• Use electronic equipment and software programs to debug and verify systems

Service Manager / Field Support Engineer
Responsible for the service department production and supervision of up to 30 technicians, 8 service writers, and 2 warranty administrators and their continuous training, including customer relations. As the Technology Expert and Field Support Engineer I developed diagnostic equipment and provided feedback for product reports and technical service bulletins for GM HQ.

As field engineer I interfaced with GM headquarters technical/platform divisions, Google, Tula Technologies, SJSU and De Anza College to support and develop Electric Vehicle Technologies.

Maintain top certifications in hybrid and CNG training for the GM western region, as well as maintained ASE Master Technician status, and GM World Class Technician status.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
• I developed a state of the art tablet/PC software application process for Android and Apple iPad to facilitate technical data transfer to incorporate wireless data acquisition for the purposes of real-time diagnostic procedures – resulting in an optimization of operations. Due to my development of this application tens of thousands of dollars was saved on outside consulting fees.
• I developed and implemented the “Volt EV Clinic” which is being adopted as a GM national standard and Best Practice.
• I was featured in General Motors “The Everyday Hero” Magazine in November 2013 issue.
• I have been profiled by Automotive News Magazine in their annual “40 Under 40” recognition of Automotive Industry high achievers and standouts in 2013.
• I have been profiled by Automotive News Magazine in 2014 for “High Technology practices” in a dealership environment.
