EXPERIENCE

5/14 to 5/15 Senior Software Engineer, New Age Micro, Mansfield, MA

Developing embedded software for manufacturing control and I/O modules. Control
module is developed in a Greenhills Integrity environment and the I/O modules are
developed in an IAR and FreeRTOS environment. All code is written in C. Also developing
GUI code in C# to interface with the control and I/O modules.

12/13 to 5/14 Contract Software Engineer, Honeywell, Albuquerque, NM.

Developed OpenGl graphics software for the Head-up Display (HUD) and Multifunction Display (MFD) for the F15 Fighter aircraft. This is a real-time, embedded system using VxWorks.

10/07 to 12/13 Principal Software Engineer, Raytheon, Dallas, TX.

Led an effort to ensure that all Flight Critical code in an embedded system achieves 100% coverage at the DO-178B Level A FAA standard and all Mission Essential code meets the DO-178B Level C standard. The Flight Critical and Mission Essential code make up approximately 30% of a 500,000 line code set. Code coverage tool used is VectorCast.

Implemented complex radar algorithms intended for an embedded system target. Code is first implemented in Matlab to generate test data and then translated to C++ in a Visual Studio environment and cross-compiled for VxWorks and other systems using Rhapsody/Pathmate. Using Clearcase/Clearquest for configuration management.

Developed graphics software (OpenGl) for a Terrain Following Radar to be deployed on a helicopter platform. Also implemented Signal Processing algorithms involving the use of Matlab to generate code and regression test final outputs. This is a real-time, embedded system using a VxWorks, Rhapsody and Synergy development environment.

Worked on proposal effort to generate estimate for the workstation software portion of a commercial, international airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) system with SAR radar GMTI tracking and EO/IR imagery that is datalinked to mobile and fixed ground stations. Effort included Trade studies, risk and opportunity analysis, requirements compliance matrix, COTS study and SLOC-based Wideband Delphi estimation tool.

Developed airborne radar tracking software. Code is written in C/C++ and developed in a Visual C++ environment. Also developed an application to display radar tracks using Microsoft Windows API in C++.

Developed code for the Raytheon High Speed Guard. This is an application that provides a mechanism for secure communications between high and low security classification to minimize the number of cleared personnel. Developed rule files and test environment for checking binary and XML data. Patent application submitted 6/2/10 - System and Method for Testing Functionality of a Firewall.

5/03 to 10/07 Senior Software Engineer, Lockheed Martin, Ft. Worth, TX.

As project lead, developed flight simulators used as trainers by F16 pilots worldwide; designed to fully replicate in real time the actual pilot-aircraft experience. Developed graphics software for the F16 Flight Simulators for the US Air force, European Air Force and the United Arab Emirates. Responsibilities included graphics software development for the Head-up Display (HUD) and Multifunction Display (MFD). Code is written using C++ and OpenGL.
Full time member of the quality assurance team responsible for bringing the F16 Flight Simulator project to CMMI Level 4 compliance. The attainment of CMMI Level 4 was critical for Lockheed to continue to compete for government contracts. Subsequently participated in a comprehensive audit of all projects designed to bring the entire division into compliance.
