Project: Radiation Treatment of Wastewater Sludge
• Led team of five in design of theoretical facility for treatment of wastewater sludge by irradiation from
spent nuclear fuel
• Developed MATLAB code to determine irradiation of waste product and utilized MS Project to
coordinate group activities and to ensure timely completion of design objectives
• Determined this method could save nearly $10 million as a safe and environmentally friendly alternative
to traditional sludge treatment methods
