Experience

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation
Acoustics and Vibration Engineer
November 2012 – Present
Savannah, Ga

• Planned, coordinated, and executed a full-aircraft multi-shaker test to characterize the modal behavior of critical flight control units on the G500 aircraft.
• Used test data to animate operational deflections shapes for dominant modes.
• Assessed design installations from a structural dynamics perspective.
• Supported shaker table testing to demonstrate adequate component life.
• Conducted modal testing of a G500 empennage model used for preliminary flutter testing at NASA Langley’s transonic wind tunnel.
• Supported integration of Pratt & Whitney PW81X turbofan engines into Gulfstream’s G500/G600 product line from a vibration perspective.
• Developed high-level system architecture for a fan trim balancing system on the PW81X series engines.
• Investigated rotor vibration on Rolls-Royce BR710 engines, from source identification to solution implementation.
• Assisted sister-company Jet Aviation by identifying cabin noise contributors and providing recommendations to improve the sound-proofing of interior installations on a B737-700 BBJ.
• Led root-cause investigation for a cockpit whistle noise, and performed wind tunnel testing for design improvement concepts.
