Responsibilities include working in close proximity to manufacturing and design teams to identify key areas within released product that require improvement. Day-to day support is given on manufacturing floor as necessary. Support is given to New Product Development as well as being intimately involved in the design and manufacturing process of newer models. Projects include calibration system improvement implementation; replacement of fused silica insulator with sapphire in all microphone products; new welded diaphragm design; Array microphone redesign.

Design Engineer
Day to day tasks consisted of 3D modeling of parts and assemblies for customer orders, creation of bill of materials, and producing machine shop drawings. New designed parts were engineered as necessary. Parts range from valve bodies to sensor brackets and are custom fit for each application. Sales and manufacturing support is given as necessary, ranging from helping with quoting of potential valves to working on a machining problem or design problem in final assembly. Projects include: High-temp. cover sensor; new CNC machined patterns for castings; pneumatic conveying high pressure conveying system; prototype tungsten carbide wear components.
