Ms. Sims has over 13 years of experience in the characterization and analysis of groundwater, soils, and bedrock, as well as the assessment of local and regional geology as it may relate to environmental concerns for compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Specialization includes analytical and field data evaluation, slug testing and hydraulic conductivity analyses, physical/chemical hydrogeology, and project management. Principal Geologist (P5) responsible for management of various sized projects for Phase II environmental assessments and hydrogeologic investigations for private and public facilities. Current position is very similar to the previous position with more added responsibilities which include:

Project Geologist (P4) responsible for management of various sized projects for Phase II environmental assessments and hydrogeologic investigations for private and public facilities. Other responsibilities and experience have included:
• Field management of multiple subsurface investigations at an active refinery and steel mill in Northwest Indiana. Responsible for budgeting field costs, developing and implementing scope of work plans, work planning and logistics, scheduling, health and safety risk assessments, field data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), permitting, shipping of dangerous goods, work plans, work execution plans, coordination with contractors, and interaction with client and Site Operational personal. Also acted as lead oversight/geologist and Performing Authority (active refinery) on field investigation activities for Soil/Groundwater/non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPL) and training of junior/entry level staff.
• Project management of an $11,000 Phase II Environmental Site Assessment project, project cost estimating/proposals, budget tracking, reporting, document quality reviews, scheduling and client liaison/business development activities.
