• Developed new image-processing-based method to compute impermeability of given textile to propose mathematical description of basic knitting procedures together with mathematical parameterization of textile structures to compute micro-impermeability of yarn with aim of obtaining multi-scale algorithm incorporating effects of yarn micro-impermeability into model thereby computing textile macro-impermeability.
• Developed model and computation of yarn permeability by directly simulating fluid flows through given textile model structure by employing finite element method.
Postdoctoral Fellowship: Innovative Materials and Technologies for Textiles 7/2008 – 3/2011
• Developed continuum models designed to describe mechanical behavior of textiles to set up proper model to investigate relation between mechanical properties of textile and its texture.
• Produced multi-scale model for textile structure, which describes behavior of textile under affine deformations.
