As owner and general manager of Mr Handyman of Cambridge, I managed construction repair and renovation projects. In 2006, my first year as a franchise, I was awarded the “Fastest 1st Year Growth” award. I am now seeking new challenges with an enterprising organization in need of someone with supervisory, design-build and budgeting skills.

My experience in project management includes the supervision of renovations, new construction, repair and maintenance of commercial and residential properties. Over the past 7 years I have planned and directed numerous projects ranging from $200 to $100,000 in the Boston area. I have experience in managing simultaneously, multiple construction projects; on average I managed 100 to 120 customer-projects per month using a proprietary PM software for scheduling, resource allocation and cost tracking. I worked with clients and construction workers on a daily basis ensuring projects were completed on time, on budget and defect free. I was responsible for all aspects of the project including hiring employees and sub-contractors, establishing and maintaining budgets and scheduling all resources required to complete the project. I have been the primary customer contact during the construction process ensuring overall customer satisfaction. I have accomplished this through managing client expectations, attention to detail, constant communication and delivering on my promises.

In addition to project management, I have also been responsible for cash management, strategic planning and areas related to measuring company performance (Profit &Loss, Customer Acquisition Cost, Profitability, and Marketing Program ROI). I devised advertising programs and internet marketing strategies while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction (Angie’s List Super Service Award). Continuously tracked ROI on each initiative and adjusted strategy accordingly.

In addition to my engineering background and entrepreneurial work experience in the software industry, I feel my experience owning and operating my own businesses has provided me a unique working understanding of all areas of business operations and how they interact with each other. I have acquired skills in all phases of construction; including scheduling, estimating, contract review and subcontractor monitoring, and I am proud to be best known for my ability to maintain excellent relations with clients and subcontractors.
