PROJECT ENGINEER/CUSTOMER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
• Production/Engineering liaison in support of manufacturing helicopter and airplane evacuation equipment for a range of helicopter models including float systems, composite parts, cable cutter systems, and more to meet FAA and EASA requirements.
• Project lead for new aircraft system development through market research, project evaluations, and product design. Responsible for maintaining all documents including schedule, risk register, technical proposals, and BOEs.
• Extensive experience interacting with customers, both foreign and domestic, providing support for technical questions, issuing letters of extension, NTO letters, service bulletins, and STC permission on various projects.
• Experienced in generating and running several types of analyses including: static and dynamic FEA on parts/assemblies on materials ranging from composites to lightweight metals, buoyancy substantiation of helicopter emergency floatation systems, and helicopter wire strike analysis.
• Created 2-D and 3-D models as well as full drawing packages including BOMs for production and manufacturing. Developed models for composite tooling and worked with composite manufacturers on all details of the product.
• Wrote and amended various types of documentation including installation instructions, installation for continued airworthiness, acceptance test procedures, technical proposals, engineering change notices, service bulletins and instructions, and more.
• Experienced in working with all departments of the company including: production, manufactures, quality control, planning & purchasing, stock room, shipping, marketing, and sales.
• Extensive use of SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
