Assist in the Administration of the Construction and Development Area of the Puerto Rico Public Housing Authority (PRPHA) which is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Capital Funds Program and Federal Grants. Responsibilities include the Maintenance, Construction/land development & Modernization of more than 330 Public housing Projects for a total of 54,000 housing units overall (Second largest Public Housing Authority in the US).
CONSTRUCTION AND PROGRAM MANAGEMENT DIVISION
Administration and supervision of 48 large scale construction/modernization projects with a $1,200M budget. Oversight management and supervision of project managers of architectural and engineering development design projects. Direct Supervision of 20 Engineers from the PRPHA & Indirect Supervision of 80+ Engineers from Program/Project Managers (CEI companies) supervising the modernization projects.
CONSTRUCTION DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Oversight development and preparation of projects designs for the PRPHA. Schedule, assign and supervise engineering design of 26 individual large scale projects with a total development cost of $331M; Directed the development, design and review of major and complex projects. Supervise and participates in the analysis and review of engineering studies and designs prepared by professional consultants, Indirect Supervision of 30+ Architects and Engineers. Conduct studies and prepare reports on proposed locations for future major development projects by the Direct Supervision of 6 Engineers from the PRPHA.
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM – EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE DIVISION
Administration of maintenance projects which included the construction and maintenance of projects infrastructure and facilities (450+ small to medium scale construction projects on progress) for 330 public housing projects with a total of 54,000+ dwelling units’ w/ a $160M Capital Improvement Extraordinary Maintenance projects budget. Direct Supervision of 8 Engineers from the PRPHA, Indirect Supervision of 40+ Engineers from Property Management Companies.
