• Responsibilities included inspections, creation of end of day reports relating to crew, deformities or damage unnoticed during original inspection. Final approval of all work complete.
• Inspections include working out on the steel truss system to coordinate with the contractors on which A325 bolts were to be changed, and to make sure the appropriate employee tightens the bolt to specs. Only trained employees are allowed to tighten using the quarter turn method. Then check their work and sign off on it on my end of day reports.
• Make sure all contractors follow exactly to plans unless both inspector and contractors have signed changes to our plans approved by engineering dept head.
• Responsibilities also included hands on under bridge inspections on both under bridge truck or scaffolding hanging from the bridge deck.
• Perform quarter turn testing to insure all large A325 Core10 steel nuts and bolts are tightened to specs on all upper and lower truss connections, and gusset connections to all lateral box beams
