Reporting to the Manager of Exploration, the role of Exploration Geologist provides technical support for clients with regard to their specific coal exploration programs within Queensland, Australia.
Key achievements include:
• Exploration geologist involved in a greenfield coal exploration program in the Surat Basin. Role included:
• Supervision of contractors and drilling program
• Data organization and tracking
• Borehole and data correction to geophysical data

Reported to the Vice President of Oil Sands Core Services, the role of Geological Associate II and Project Manager was responsible for providing a range of comprehensive technical expertise, project management advice and consulting on a variety of both large and small scale exploration projects. Projects included field exploration programs for various commodities, core analysis projects, and project management.
Key achievements include:
• Project managed a core analysis program for a potential SAGD (steam-assisted gravity drainage) and open pit oil sands mine development in Alberta, Canada. The program was used to determine the resources boundaries and grade distribution for future mine planning and resource evaluations. Role as project manager included:
• Final budget reports and monthly accruals
• Daily reports, client liaison and representation
• Data tracking and scheduling
• Database management and extensive QA/QC and finalization on laboratory data
• Editing and review of core reports
• Training and mentoring junior geologist and geotechnicians
• Interpretation of geophysical logs
