EXPERIENCE: Senior Software Scientist, January 1996 to present, Katmai Research
(formerly Carlisle Research), Van Nuys, California
* Developed a user interface for legacy Command and Control operator
consoles within the Solipsys Tactical Display Framework (TDF). All
software was developed in Java, using the Netbeans IDE.
* Translated legacy USMC/USAF Command and Control software suite from
CMS-2 to C++, running under Linux Red Hat and Windows XP Embedded.
* Developed a TADIL-J data link simulation unit responsible for direct
communications with a TADIL-J terminal or JTIDS Range Extension
(JRE). All software was developed in the C programming language for a
Solaris 8 target operating system.
* Designed and developed a TADIL-C data link simulation unit and a TPS-75
radar simulation unit, both used for stimulating a command and control
system. The target hardware on both systems was an embedded Power PC
processor, running the VxWorks operating system. All software was
developed in the C++ programming language. Maintenance/diagnostics
consoles were also developed to monitor the embedded systems, via a suite
of custom web pages, using HTML, Javascript, and Java.
* Developed a user interface for a command and control simulator using the
X-windows and Motif toolkits. All software was developed using the ADA
programming language, on the Solaris 2.5 operating system, with the
exception of all low level NTDS and TCP/IP interface software which was
developed using the ā€œCā€ programming language.
