NAVISTAR TRUCK AND ENGINE 1998-PRESENT
Chief Engineer, IPD Development (Natural Gas Engines & Aftertreatment Systems) 2009-Present
•Lead program integrating technologies across all engine and vehicle platforms. Interface with government agencies for product certification, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Demonstrate technology to external Original Equipment Manufacturers. Report program plans and status to Executive Management.
•Manage cross-functional program with over 40 engineers to develop state-of-the-art exhaust emissions systems from initial concept through production implementation. Direct two Product Development Managers as well as outside resources and suppliers.
•Serve as primary interface with internal cross-functional teams to support implementation on new technology, working with Marketing, Purchasing, Parts, Certification and Compliance, On-Board Diagnostics, Controls and Electronics, and Service.

International Truck and Engine Corporation (Navistar)
Product Manager, Diesel Exhaust Aftertreatment Performance & Product Development 2008-2009
•As Product Manager for exhaust emissions aftertreatment technology, developed programs for 2010 model year implementation. Directed seven engineers in development of prime-path exhaust aftertreatment systems for future engine programs.
•Managed Selective Catalytic Reductions (SCR) concept readiness activities and winter testing. Planned production program to meet key milestones and performance objectives. Presented detailed program and development status to highest levels of Engineering Management.

Product Manager, Light Duty Diesel Powertrain Development 2006-2008
Engine and Exhaust Aftertreatment Performance & Product Development
•Managed overall program plan, including base engine and aftertreatment systems, for a light-duty diesel engine development program to meet program functional targets in emissions, performance, and quality.
•Directed six engineers in program, as well as vehicle calibration development activities including engine dynamometer, chassis dynamometer, and vehicle drivability.
•Interfaced with customer to deliver per the development plans and functional objectives documents. Developed and presented engine and aftertreatment certification materials for the EPA and CARB.

Vehicle Integration Engineer, Vehicle Integration Group 2005-2006
•Directed program activities for 2007 model year V6 heavy-duty, and 2009 model year light-duty diesel engine and vehicle performance per customers’ requirements.
•Coordinated day-to-day vehicle integration team activities including emissions calibration and calibration reviews, analysis projects and activities, software development, and deliverables.
•Worked with customers to resolve all vehicle integration and performance issues, and prepared and presented documentation for heavy-duty diesel certification to the EPA.

Senior Engine and Vehicle Performance Engineer 2004-2005

•Developed and maintained engine and vehicle performance models in GT-Suite gas dynamics performance modeling program. Developed calibration methodologies using Design of Experiments (DoE) methods.
