Degree: Petroleum Engineering Mississippi State University 1983

Experience in the Industry:

1984 through 1989: Regional Petroleum Engineer for BJ Hughes in the Mississippi,

Louisianna, Alabama, and North Florida area. As member of our companies stimulation development team I researched and designed well stimulation projects such as acid, frac, nitrogen recovery, gravel pack, carbon dioxide stimulation, and polymer water restricter projects.

I was also in charge of the design and testing of our companies cementing operation which included surface pipe, completion and squeezing cement jobs.
The postion required that I run my own lab for designing and testing of the stimulation and cementing projects. The postion also required me to go to the location and supervise many of the jobs.

As an engineer for an oilfield service company I worked closely with the engineers and/or representatives of the oil companies we were performing work for.

1984 through 1976: Worked on drilling rigs, work over rigs, and rod rigs during summer and school breaks to finance my education. I performed the jobs of floor hand, derrick hand and driller during this time. I am aware this may not be pertinent, however the hands on experience was priceless in my overall development.

The years since I left the oilfield: As a company engineer I was very successful and in fact had been offered a promotion to Regional Engineer in the Lafayette, La. region. ...
