Senior Reliability Engineer/Program Technical Lead
 Technical Lead for the project to define and establish a reliability-centered maintenance program for all Amtrak rolling stock.
 Provided leadership and direction to a team comprising 22 engineers and administrative staff overseeing workflow and performance.
 Oversaw all phases of each project evaluating client documentation to ensure the integrity, clarity, and presentation of all technical data.
Key Contributions:
 Led a team and authored a data driven report supporting approval of the extension of the five-year COT&S requirement of braking system components on high-speed trainsets. The resulting FRA approval yielded annual savings of $8M.
 Led an investigative team to determine the root cause of violent explosions in locomotive power conversion equipment. Identified patterns causing the problem and through modifying locomotive installation and repair methods remediated the issue resulting in a $1M annual savings.
 Employed an RCA team to identify and resolve the cause of premature failure of traction motor pinion bearings in Amtrak’s P42 locomotive. Determined a two-piece bearing cage caused the premature failures allowing the manufacturer to modify the bearing cages saving over $1M annually.
 Designed a comprehensive conditioned based maintenance program for the P42 locomotive reducing failure rates through implementing a cost-effective failure detection analysis system. The program generated an estimated yearly savings of $14.4M.
