Position Related Experence:

* CertainTeed, Terra Haute, IN – Project Structural Engineer - 480,000 sq. ft. processing plant, equipment and building foundations, six floor steel framed building with overhead cranes, piperacks, equipment platforms, vessel steel supports, sumps, rail and truck loading dock. Fast track design-build project. Provided layout support and assistance for process
and mechanical design. The process and mechanical design was completed as the
structural was being constructed. Performed structural field design changes.
* Cemplank, SC - processing plant, equipment and building foundations, pipe racks, equipment platforms, vessel steel supports, sumps, rail and truck loading dock, and 4 floor steel frame building with overhead cranes.
* Exxon Refinery, Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Structural Facilities Engineer - Plant Modifications: Catalyst Cracking Unit, built 1942, upgraded from 950° F to 1050°F operation temperature and excretion to 2400°F. Helped develop design criteria for temperature increase. Design of all piping systems operating at high temperature and larger than 30” diameter, including routing, connections, supports and hangers. Provided both field and office
structural support for “turn around” (outages) of Catalyst Cracking Units.
* Oil Dri Plants, GA, MS, OR Structural Facilities Engineer - Designed conveying, drying (rotary dryers), milling, packaging, screening, and storage systems; buildings, silos, structural steel support, and foundations; field collection of design data, inspection of construction, solving of construction and design issues in the field, and plant shut downs. Project work included developing project concept and scope of work, capital approval, design, bidding, construction, and start up.
* PP & G, Lake Charles, Louisiana - Project Structural Engineer - Segregation of storm sewer and process sewer for chemical plant: trenches, sumps, steel storage tanks, pipe bridges and racks, access platforms, equipment foundations and buildings.
* Grand River Dam Authority: - Project Structural Engineer - Dry SO2 Removal System for coal power plant, $70 million, 2 double wall precipitators, 4 spray dryers (52 ft. diameter), large ductwork, ash removal and storage system, lime unloading, storage, and mixing system. Involved from design development, design, bid and construction. Trips to the field for construction assistance including a six straight month’s stay. Developed the structural
design criteria for spray dryer design.

A list of projects and types of structures available upon request including; Government and Military, Projects, Industrial, Institutional, and Commercial Buildings; Access & Stair Towers, Air Pollution, Bridges, Civil, Highway,
Industrial, Power Plant, Tank Farms, Vessels (high temperature, pressure, dry and wet storage), and
Wastewater Projects.
