OBJECTIVE:
To obtain employment as a chemical / project / process engineer with a company where my experience and knowledge, especially in the areas of process design engineering and pressure relief valve calculation & design, can be used effectively.

SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE:
As a Process engineering specialist with moderate experience, I have participated in all stages of capital project, proposal, basic and detail engineering design. Practical experience includes process simulation using ASPEN, Thermal rating calculations (Heat exchangers) using HTRI software, Line sizing, equipments sizing & designs - such as pumps, control valves, drums, vessels etc. Pressure relief valves design and calculations.
Developed and reviewed Process designs parameters, Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrument Diagrams. Participated in HAZOP analysis and Peer coaching. Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team. Familiar with chemical engineering handbook and standards like API, TEMA, ASME, GPSA, NFPA etc.

Core Process Engineering Specialist: Responsible for process Engineering Designs & Global capital project execution by applying Dow’s Global Process Methodology (GPM) and Process Engineering Work Process Disciplines.

Specialty Plastics & Elastomers (SPE-II & III Trains) Projects, Thailand – (Capital Project).
Area/Core Process Engineer
• Responsible for the design of the Multi-Catalyst System equipments such as Shot Tanks, Injection Pumps, Heat exchangers, Level Pots and Pressure Safety Valves in the solution Polyethylene (PE) plant on trains II & III.
• Designed and reviewed process simulation, PFD, P&ID, equipment sizing and operating guidelines for the Multi-catalyst system for the solution PE trains. .
• Provided engineering support to operations working with various teams to improve the performance of the equipment in the plant.
• Evaluated the possible re-use of an exchanger that resulted in capital avoidance cost of $150,000 and achieved $300,000 in value creation/savings.
• Participated in HAZOP, P&ID Reviews and Instrument & Process Datasheet review
• Worked effectively and efficiently with the design, process control, project management team and the stakeholders in the execution of this project.

RTIP (Ras Tanura Integrated Project) - PMDI (Capital Project).
Area/Core Process Engineer
• Responsible for system design parameters and rating of equipment such as Heat Exchangers (Reboilers & Condensers), Drums and Vessels for the Phosgenation section (MCB solvent Recovery) & PMDI purification process.
• Generated Equipment Record Forms and Equipment Process Datasheets – Using ASPEN Zyqad. Created and marked up existing PFDs and P&IDs.
• Prepared process equipment specifications sheets, heat and material balance, and process flow diagrams.
• Participated in HAZOP, P&ID and Instrument & Process Datasheet review.

Process Engineer - Quality Review
• Responsible for the Quality Management Review which involves consistency checks in the Equipment List versus Equipment Specification Datasheets; process conditions and designs for equipments e.g. Exchangers, Pumps, Drums/Vessels etc.
• Reviewed all Process Engineering documents (Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrument Diagrams)

• Executed the work process for Relief Valve sizing by reviewing pressure relief systems and scenarios.
• Designed and sized relief devices such as PSV, PRVs, RD, ERVs PVRV etc protecting pressure vessels, API Tanks, Heat exchangers, Tower unit, Control valves, blowers, using software such as Safsiz, Lowsiz, Safnet and HEM (for two-phase flow).
• Performed detailed engineering (hydraulic calculation and line sizes) on equipment protected by PSV/RD using Dow software (SiNET).
• Performed relief device calculations on Tower unit, heat Exchangers, pressure vessels, API tanks & pumps, piping network per ASME Codes section I & VIII, API recommended Practices & Standards and DOW Chemical Standards.
