Senior Engineer, Urethane Compression Molding, July 2009 – Current
• Design, develop, and implement plant layout to create a linear one-piece flow
o Lead team of engineers, maintenance personal, and production associates to complete layout on schedule to plan
o Direct and indirect labor cost savings in excess of $40K/month
• Direct engineering team to accomplish goals based upon savings analysis, process improvement, and increase in customer build rates.
o Develop system of standardizing method for producing product and eliminate error
o Perform material trials to produce cost savings of $300K/year and to improve product quality.
o Work with team to develop and implement quick change tool setup system. Reduced setups from 2 hours down to 35 minutes.
o Create new Technician positions to support manufacturing needs and provide stabilization to process.
o Lead team of Engineers to provide stabilization to machine processes.
 Improved process from a Sigma level 1 to level 3 in a capability analysis.
• Program, edit, and modify programs for dual head 6-Axis Fanuc Robot Water Jets. Robots used to trim unfinished product to desired cut options per customer specifications.
• Lead on Capital Acquisition project for Press modifications to improve, stabilize, and provide consistency to outdated Hydraulic driven presses. Eight Presses in total.
o Project consisted of removal of hydraulics and replacement with servo-driven actuators in conjunction with Allen-Bradley Micrologics/Redlion HMI installation.
 System developed to provide machine consistency and data logging capabilities to yield reduction in scrap, time, and accuracy to schedule.
o Provide solid-model design concepts with use of Pro-E 4.0. Concepts were provided to outside machines shop in which many concepts were used in actual construction.

Industrial Engineer, Thermoformed Plastics, April 2008 to July 2009
• Review and update all current and new production standards with the use time study and method analysis.
o Institute production/work flow utilizing elemental breakdowns of time studies.
o Set standards for large clean room production to meet customer needs. Review data with all operators involved and instruct on expectations. Properly staff operation to adjust for customers fluctuating demand.
o Created process flow for struggling offsite vendor to meet companies’ needs.
• Create and maintain plant layout with utilization of AutoCad.
o Oversee movement of machinery into designated areas. Including designations for electrical and air drops.
o Champion movement of large RIM cell. Created kanban lot sizes and layout for materials. Reduced scrap rate from $2500 to $200 per month.
o Create 5S Cell Layouts utilizing corporate designated colors. Allowed for consistent product flow though cells and consistency.
o Work closely with operators to incorporate suggestions for proper layout.
• Utilize Pro-E and AutoCad to design and create tooling fixtures and molds per customer specifications.
o Design transportation carts for product flow for cost savings project.
o Create work instruction drawings to properly identify product options.
o Design pneumatic presses to assist with production and provide consistency.
