Lead LAN Network Engineer, 2005-Current

Assisted with support and design of over 65 Auction facilities, 70+ AFC single switch sites, and 3 datacenters. Maintained the LAN and wireless infrastructure. Troubleshoot wireless issues on handheld and infrastructure using packet captures and Wireless Security isolate issues. Troubleshoot Applications with Datacenter Applications using Network Instruments Observer Suite. Orion Solarwinds monitoring with maps of each site was created to monitor the Auctions routers and switches. Implemented a RF Security system with Airtight at all Auctions this monitored all the wireless and wired traffic for threats and changes in the wireless infrastructure. Installed and designed the LAN infrastructure for the Auctions as a Dual WAN Provider and multiple IDFs at the Auctions. Completed Wireless Audits with Airmagnet Survey and Spectrum Analysis to verify that there is no overlapping channels. Supported Juniper Routers with Redundant Circuits from 2 separate venders at each location. Support Sprint MPLS connectivity on primary router and IPVPN on the Secondary. Configure each primary router to failover in event of outage with dual connectivity on separate switches. Used Airwave as a wireless monitor for statistics and troubleshooting with historical data on the wireless infrastructure. Moved primary Datacenter to a new facility downtown. Configured backbone connectivity and redundancy to all cabinets and back to Corporate office. Assist in maintenance and cabling in all of the servers and devices that go into the datacenter.

Experience in Ordering, Project Management, Network Troubleshooting (LAN, WAN, Wireless), Application Troubleshooting using Packet sniffers, Operational work with monitoring and managing a large infrastructure across the country and into Canada and Mexico, Travel to sites to install or repair issues that require it.  Lead a Multimillion dollar project to upgrade the LAN infrastructure from Nortel to Cisco switching hardware. 65 + Auctions in Canada and US. Was involved in Design, Project Planning, and Implementation.
 Upgraded the Wireless Infrastructure at all sites to an outdoor wireless design with bridging and configure a bus to allow wireless connectivity and run a video and sound sale as it drove around the lot.
 Implemented Wireless Security at all Auctions using Airtight.
 Part of the Team to Move to a new Data Center downtown. Configured connectivity and ordering and of all equipment and cabling necessary to the development of the datacenter.
 Ran a weekly field call to send out the updates on all new sites, break/fix, projects that effected the field and remote sites.

 Installed a PIX 501 with VPN access to the network so NatCity Investments would be directly connected to the network from remote locations. Set up and installed all of these boxes, 25 in total.
 Worked with a team to upgrade all servers from 4.0 to 2000 and Active Directory.
