Resume

Career Objective – Obtain a position within a progressive company that will continually challenge both itself and industry status quo to maintain recognition as a leader in their products and services being offered.

Key Capabilities
• Managing, and Leading others
Currently and previously managed or supervised both salaried and hourly associates (union and non-union)

• Negotiating Contracts, Rates and Services
I successfully negotiated a three year $150M logistics contract with a third party provider resulting in cost savings of $6M the first year. Consolidated 21 independently operating plants, into one company. Written binding contracts and agreements that ensure compliance, cost savings and improved service

• Managing Programs/Projects
Proven track record in overall leadership of large and small programs from beginning to end, which is documented by the successful results achieved by my team. Under my leadership we defined requirements, planned out training schedule, and rolled out a new Logistics provider to 21 Plants and over 400 Suppliers and Carriers in less than five months at a cost of less than half of the budgeted $1M

• Change Management
Through experience, knowledge, training and skills I can manage, plan for and execute flawless project results for any scale of change. My success has come from being able to recognize when change has not progressed within the organization to match changes happening to processes. During launch of our Logistics provider I recognized need to have Spanish training classes to accommodate some Suppliers that were falling behind. With this additional training and bilingual resource we were again able to catch up and complete project on time.

• Lean Business Practices
Applied LEAN process improvement practices across both manufacturing and supply chain resulting in $20M savings and 100% increase in customer service. Program was how to improve delivery of Lexus vehicles to Florida, Alabama, Carolina’s, Georgia and Louisiana. I modeled costs, developed alternatives and sold management on best alternative of using existing ocean transport from Japan to Jacksonville versus current rail move from Long Beach, CA.

• Modeling and Cost Analysis
Developing realistic cost analysis models takes training in-depth knowledge and experience of how things work. My well rounded career provides me a huge advantage as I build precise accurate models and cost/benefit analysis tools. Two compatible models developed to calculate Packaging to purchase for over 1,000 new parts, while together with another model estimated overall cost to organization from Supply Chain perspective. Taking into account; transport cost, inventory carrying cost, Plant labor, supplier labor and floor space impact.

• Computer skills
Adept at all Microsoft programming; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Project familiar with computer layout and design systems (CATIA, VISIO, CAPE) as well as corporate level systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, etc…)
