Project Engineer & Engineer II

Initially hired as a Drafter and was promoted after one year into current role providing project engineering services for major projects with one of the nation’s largest, full-service providers of environmental and infrastructure services. Contribute to the success of the company by fulfilling key engineering roles on a multi-site Soil Remediation Project and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) design and development projects.

• Travel extensively to perform a diverse range of engineering, field team lead, community outreach and remediation oversight responsibilities on a long-term Soil Remediation Project at multiple client sites throughout the United States; project responsibilities include:

- Create traffic control plans for soil sampling to ensure compliance with city and state requirements.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and production of remediation/construction activities.
- Assist with controlling expenses by providing and analyzing cost data on remediation/construction tasks.
- Maintain quality expectations by performing QA/QC audits on remediation oversight data entries.
- Ensure compliance with State Department requirements by submitting and tracking Notice of Intent(NOI)and Notice of Termination(NOT)documents.
- Implement the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and database applications to pull critical
data and information required to complete project assignments.
- Manage and provide leadership direction to soil sampling crews to ensure strict compliance with appropriate sampling methodologies/processes and safety procedures established by State Departments and clients.
- Serve as the front line contact point performing comprehensive public relations and community outreach to provide information on project updates and address concerns with the local citizens.

• Design and develop Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems for clients in the Power Industry; CEMS system development involves:

- Design compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., US EPA, state regulatory agencies).
- Drawings and schematics (layout drawings, electrical/mechanical schematics, loop/flow diagrams).
- Production and part procurement for system construction and integration.
- System inspection, testing, and certification to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Technical operation, engineering, and maintenance manuals for completed systems.
- Provide a diverse range of services throughout the project life-cycle, including engineering design, project management, factory acceptance testing, packing/shipping, start-up technical support, site-acceptance testing, training, and technical support for Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA) test teams.
